Transferring & Accepting Ticket Transfers
Transferring unused tickets to family and friends is now easier than ever! This process will end the need to ever mail tickets, meet face to face, or have to stand in line at the will call window. Simply log into your Dog Tag using your mobile phone to start the transfer process. The recipient of the transfer will receive a text message notifying them of the transfer. The recipient will then follow the prompts to complete the transfer and then receive an email to download their tickets to their mobile wallet.

This season ticket holder benefit allows Mississippi State fans to electronically send their tickets to any fan of their choosing. The recipient will then receive a text message notifying them of the transfer. If the transfer is initiated on a computer, then the recipient will receive the invitation via email.

When can I transfer a ticket?
All ticket transfers, both initiated and accepted, must be completed by game time. Any transfers attempted after game time will fail.

How do I cancel a pending transfer?
Login to your Dog Tag on your mobile phone and under My tickets click on the game you wished to transfer. Find the ticket you transferred, and you will see a blue link stating “View Transfer Details”. Click this link. Then you will see a cancel transfer button. Click this button. To complete you now must click Yes, Cancel Transfer button. You now have successfully canceled your transfer.

HOW TO TRANSFER A TICKET
- Go to Hailstate.com/tickets (using your mobile phone) and click on “My Dog Tag Login.”
- Login to your Dog Tag and click on “My Tickets” section.
- Select game to transfer.
- Under a ticket you wish to transfer you will see a blue “Transfer” link. Click this link.
- Select which tickets you want to transfer and then click continue.
- Enter the cell phone number of the recipient.
- Click review transfer
- Once you look over to make sure all looks right you can click Transfer Tickets.
- You have now completed the transfer and a text message will be sent to the recipient.

Accepting a ticket from friend is simple and easy! Follow the steps below as a guide to accept your ticket transfer.
- You will receive a text message notifying you that you have a ticket transfer invitation.
- Click the link in the text message. Once the page has loaded it will show you the details of the transfer you are going to accept.
- Click on accept transfer button.
- Log into your DogTag account. If you do not have a DogTag you may create one by clicking the Create Account blue link.
- Once logged in, you will automatically accept the transfer.
- You will also receive a text message notifying you of the accepted transfer.
- You can now click the black icon to download the ticket to your mobile wallet.
- After step 7 be sure to click the “ADD” link to actually load it into your mobile wallet.
- Your ticket should now be loaded in your Apple Wallet or Google Pay.

- Click on “Forgot Password”
- Enter your email address that is affiliated with your Dog Tag account
- Look in your email inbox for an email from tickets@athletics.msstate.edu with a subject of “Change password”
- Follow the directions in the email to access your Dog Tag Account with a temporary password
- If forgot password does not work, you may not have linked your account to our new software introduced in March of 2017. Please try the steps below to link your Dog Tag Account
- Go to hailstate.com/tickets
- Click on “My Dog Tag Login”
- Click on “Link Your Dog Tag” in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.
- Call the ticket office at 662-325-2600 for your customer number and online pin.
How do I cancel a pending transfer?
Login to your Dog Tag on your mobile phone and under My tickets click on the game you wished to transfer. Find the ticket you transferred, and you will see a blue link stating “View Transfer Details”. Click this link. Then you will see a cancel transfer button. Click this button. To complete you now must click Yes, Cancel Transfer button. You now have successfully canceled your transfer.
Is there any extra information I need to know?
- A ticket can be transferred multiple times as long as the transfer is initiated originally on a mobile phone.
- If the transferee initiated the original transfer from a computer that ticket will only be allowed one transfer. A ticket transfer cannot be transferred again after initially transferred from a computer.
- Please check your junk mail folder in your email if you are the recipient of the transfer. Sometimes the email will get sent to your junk or spam folder.
