STARKVILLE, Miss. – Coming off Southeastern Conference Opening Weekend, Mississippi State (12-9) will step out of league play for an in-state midweek matchup with Southern Miss (15-4) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Trustmark Park in Pearl, Miss.
The Diamond Dawgs have won five-straight non-conference games, while the Golden Eagles are 9-1 over their last 10 games.
MSU leads the all-time series between the two sides, 80-38, and a 9-3 advantage in neutral site meetings. The programs last met during the 2016 season on March 29 in Pearl, with State having won 13-5.
Fans can still purchase tickets through the Mississippi Braves website here. The Bulldogs will occupy the first base dugout and will serve as the visitors.
