Changes in Davis Wade Stadium
As we prepare for the 2013 Bulldog Football season, there will be
some important changes taking place in and around Davis Wade Stadium.
Some will be noticeable and some will not, some temporary and some
permanent. The most notable permanent change for the upcoming season
will be new labeling of existing sections in the stadium. This change
is being made to accommodate the addition of new north end sections,
which will be ready for the 2014 season.
As you may know, the west side of Davis Wade Stadium is being
renovated prior to the 2013 season and will be completed before the
first home game. The renovation includes new way-finding signage that
will be designed to coordinate with the signage in the expanded north
end zone. In order to make that possible, the stadium sections will be
changed from letters to numbers in the main grandstand and the numbers
on existing Floyd Wade, Jr. Club Level and the east side upper deck will
be changed to match up with corresponding levels in the north and
west.
This change will not impact seat locations for the 2013
season. Rows and seats will remain the same. The only change will be
in the naming of the section. See the map below for detailed information.

Artificial Noisemakers/Cowbells/Crowd Noise
- Excessive and
uncontrolled noise can result in penalties against the home team. In
2010, the 12 schools of the SEC agreed to a compromise on artificial
noisemakers, acknowledging the role cowbells play in the history of
Mississippi State University by amending the conference by-law. This
fall, at least on a
one-year trial basis - and hopefully for much longer - cowbells will be
permitted in Davis Wade Stadium for the first time in 36 years, but only
at designated times. Please visit respectthebell.com for full details about the new rules and regulations.
