Weather Wreaks Havoc On Day 2 Of NCAA Outdoor Championships In Iowa

DES MOINES, Iowa - Weather was the apparent winner on Thursday at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, as rain ended action around 8:15 during the preliminaries of the women's 4x400-meter relay.

Before the rains came, however, senior Jessica Merriweather of Memphis placed 17th in the high jump at 5-9 ¼, her fourth-longest leap of the season. Arizona's Brigetta Barrett won at 6-1 ¼.

On Friday, MSU will compete in three events - the conclusion of the women's 4x400, along with the men's high jump and 4x400 prelims.
