No. 23 Vanderbilt Travels To Starkville To Take On Lady Bulldogs

STARKVILLE, Miss. - After falling 6-1 in a Friday match against the Lady Wildcats of Kentucky, Mississippi State's women's tennis squad, now ranked at No. 62 in the country, will face No.23-ranked Vanderbilt at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre Sunday. Match time is set for 1 p.m.

Naomi Tran posted MSU's only victory in Friday's match, posting a 3-6, 6-1, 3-2 (ret.) triumph against Kentucky on court three. Sophomore Alexandra Perper, ranked 113th nationally, leads the Lady Bulldogs at the No. 1 position and has posted 11 victories during this spring's dual competition.

Vanderbilt (13-8, 5-4 SEC) is coming off a 5-2 setback at Ole Miss on Friday. The Commodores have three players ranked nationally in singles, led by 34th-ranked Jackie Wu.
