Fall 2011 (Freshman): Began freshman fall season with competition in the Roberta Alison Fall Classic, where she made her way into the finals of her flight...During competition in the Lakewood Ranch Classic in Sarasota, Fla. Ferancova defeated Katherine White of Notre Dame 6-2, 3-6, 10-6...Saw action in seven doubles matches this fall...Anticipating the debut of her freshman spring season.

Pre-MSU: Before joining the Lady Bulldog tennis squad, Petra acquired several accolades such as finishing in third place in the Slovakian Nationals Doubles Tournament two times. She was also a member of a team that placed second during the Slovakian Nationals Singles Tournament.

Personal: Petra Ferancova, a native of Lucenec, Slovakia, is following the footsteps of older sister Radka who was a lettered Lady Bulldog tennis player from 2007 to 2009. Petra is the daughter of Jaroslav Feranec and Ivica Ferancova, and her favorite professional tennis players are Novak Djokovic and Maria Sharapova.
