Lady Bulldogs Complete UCF Challenge, McDonald Posts Top 25

ORLANDO, Fla. - During the highest scoring round of the tournament, the Mississippi State women's golf team was one of only four teams to not post their highest round of the UCF Challenge.

Out of the 18-team field, 14 teams posted their highest rounds of the event during Tuesday's final round. The Lady Bulldogs turned in a 308, matching Sunday's opening round tally.

Freshman Ally McDonald used the Maroon and White's best round of the tournament to climb her way to her third Top 25 finish this season. McDonald's 6-over-par 222 ties her third-best event of her young career.

Just behind McDonald, sophomore Mary Langdon Gallagher turned in her second-best tourney score of the season with a 228. Her second round 74 is her best round since she carded a 73 in the final round of the Price's Give 'Em Five Invitational on Oct. 13.

Rica Tse finished just three strokes behind Gallagher with a 231, while Perry Katherine Furr and Elena Warren followed her with 235's. The 19-over card is Warren's best event of her career.

The Lady Bulldogs return to the Sunshine State on March 16 for their next action in the SunTrust Gator Women's Invitational.
