STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State head coach Ginger Brown-Lemm and her staff again produced another stellar recruiting class by inking Ji Eun Baik and Izel Pieters during the early signing period.

Ranked 76th in the world by the Polo Jr. Golf Rankings, Baik was one of the more sought after recruits in the 2013 class. The Newnan, Ga., native has posted back-to-back Top 5 finishes in the Georgia High School Association Class AAAAA state championships.

During this past summer, Baik earned a spot in the prestigious USGA Girls Junior Amateur at Lake Merced Golf Club in San Francisco, where she advanced to the round of 64 out of 154 of the world's best amateurs.

Baik posted three Top 5 and six Top 25 cards in eight events during the 2012 summer. She ended the season with her best finish, a second-place card at the SJGT TimberCreek Junior Classic.

"JB has unlimited potential and is peaking at the right time to make an immediate impact during her freshman year," third-year head coach Brown-Lemm said. "She is an incredible student, is fluent in multiple languages and will be a great presence in and out of the classroom."

Pieters joins the Lady Bulldogs from Hazyview, Mpumalanga, South Africa, and is a top three talent in the 2013 class.

She was named Mpumalanga High School Sports Woman of the Year in 2011 and 2012 after winning back-to-back Earnie Els and Francourt Foundation Championships in 2010 and 2011.

In April 2012, Pieters posted second-place finishes in both the South Africa Amateur Open and the South Africa Girl's Rose Bowl.

She was selected to represented her country on the junior amateur team in India, Germany, and twice in Scotland. Pieters also received an invitation to the 2011 and 2012 Annika Sorenstam Invitational in Orlando, Fla.

"What an exceptional young lady that fits with our program perfectly," Ginger Brown-Lemm said. "Talented, conservative and competitive would be how I describe Izel. She is a hungry, focused and dedicated young lady with high goals. She has dreamed of coming over to the U.S. and playing at an SEC, elite level program. She has earned it and we are the fortunate program that she will call home."
