Bost Recognized By AP As Honorable Mention
Bost, a native of Concord, N.C., who has started 89 games for the Bulldogs, was second on the team this year with his 15.3 scoring clip, while he led the SEC with 6.2 assists. He’ll enter his senior season needing just 64 more assists to tie Derrick Zimmerman’s school record of 514.
“I hate the way the season ended, but it’s an honor to be recognized for my play,” said Bost, who appeared in just 17 games for the Bulldogs due to NCAA and academic suspensions. “It’s an individual award, but without my teammates I wouldn’t have received it.”
Mississippi State’s season ended last Friday night with a hard-fought 87-81 setback to Vanderbilt in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament, where Bost recorded his second double-double of the year with 16 points and 11 assists. The Bulldogs finished the season 17-14 overall and concluded conference play second in the Western Division with a 9-7 ledger.
