HSTV Announces 2013 Baseball Season Coverage Plans
STARKVILLE, Miss. - Bulldog Baseball and HailStateTV will form another impressive combination in 2013, as the MSU premium streaming service plans to broadcast all 56 MSU regular-season baseball games live via audio streaming, while 32 of State's 37 home affairs are currently scheduled to be offered via live HD video streaming on HSTV (schedules subject to change).
Head coach John Cohen's nationally-ranked Diamond Dog squad opens the '13 home campaign with a 19-game homestand at Dudy Noble Field/Polk-DeMent Stadium, beginning this weekend, Feb. 15-17, with a four-game series against Portland.
MSU's home baseball video streaming content is offered in high definition (HD). The HD programming is automatically accessible by current HSTV video subscribers through their normal login. Once a subscriber clicks to launch the video stream on their PC or Mac, a new HD window will load and being playing.
In addition, the HD content can be accessed through State's official iPad app. To access, users need to purchase both the iPad app and also have a valid HSTV video subscription to login with when prompted on the app. The video link will appear at game time in the "Schedules" and "Live" tab on the iPad app.
As mentioned, HSTV live audio streaming will be available for all Diamond Dog games. Audio streams can be accessed through a PC or Mac, or through State's mobile apps for iPad, iPhone and Android, by purchasing the desired app and having a valid HSTV subscription.
In addition to game coverage, HSTV will also provide the weekly "MSU Baseball with John Cohen" television show each week as well as the DawgTalk with Coach Cohen radio show - both free of charge. Both shows begin later in the spring.
