"Do It For Duffy" Wristbands Available At The MSU Ticket Office

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State's Baseball Bulldogs have launched their fund-raising campaign for injured former Diamond Dog Ryan Duffy with the Tuesday start of sales of maroon "Do It For Duffy" wristbands. The wristbands, sold for $5 each, are available over the counter at the MSU Baseball Office Building adjacent to the Palmeiro Center and at the MSU Athletic Ticket Office in the Bryan Athletic Administration Building.

Proceeds from the sale of the wristbands will go to the Ryan Duffy Recovery Fund. Duffy, a native of Naples, Fla., and a member of the Mississippi State baseball team from 2006 until 2010, has been in the intensive care unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Fla., since mid-August when he was critically injured in a diving accident in Key West, Florida.

Members of the MSU baseball team, the Diamond Girls and other support groups will be selling the wristbands this weekend in selected tailgate areas near Davis Wade Stadium in association with Saturday's Mississippi State-Alcorn State football game. Kickoff for the regionally-televised game is set for 11 a.m.
