Fleet-footed left-handed hitter and one of two returning starters in the outfield • Bulldog regular in center field with the versatility and speed to also defend the field in left or right • Third-most stolen bases (seven) in his MSU debut season • Two-time MLB draft selection • Among 14 Diamond Dogs with Academic All-SEC honors during their career.

2010:  
Played in 50 of MSU's 56 games in his first season at State, drawing 36 starts (35 in center field and one in right field) • Hit .250 with 34 hits, 11 for extra-bases, and 34 RBI, fourth-most on the team • Opening day starter against Rhode Island (Feb. 19) in center field, lacing a single in his first career at-bat • Reached base in four of his five plate appearances and drove in his first career run with a groundout in that game against URI • Credited with the game-winning RBI in consecutive games in the BankFirst Baseball Challenge against Southeast Missouri (Mar. 6) and Michigan State (Mar. 7) • Ranked third on the club with seven stolen bases in 11 attempts • As a ninth-inning pinch-runner pilfered a pair of bases and scored the winning run in the series-clinching 11-10 win against Georgia (Mar. 28) • Compiled a season-best seven-game hitting streak (Apr. 17-30), registering four of his eight two-hit games during the span (11-for-25, 7 runs, 10 RBI) • Laced a double and legged out a career-first triple against Jackson State (Apr. 6) • Registered his first game with two doubles in the series-opener at Auburn (May 7) and launched his first career home run in the finale at Auburn (May 9) • Had hits in 25 of his 50 games played • Second on the team with 13 multi-RBI games, with six of those coming in the final 11 games • Drove in three runs against both Western Kentucky (Mar. 10) and at Auburn (May 7) and collected a season-high four RBI in a 2-for-3 plate performance at Alabama (Apr. 25) •  Hit .263 with 19 RBI in 27 SEC games played (21 starts)Joined 13 other Diamond Dogs on the 2010 SEC Academic Honor Roll.

Selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 17th round of Major League Baseball's 2008 first-year player draft and by the Cincinnati Reds in the 44th round of MLB's 2009 draft.
