MSU Football Practice Fields
To prepare for each and every football game, Mississippi State enjoys the services of three full-length practice fields located on the northern part of campus. Adjacent to State's track, tennis and softball facilities, the practice fields are located immediately north of the Holliman Athletic Center and Shira Complex, where the Bulldogs' practice locker, weight, training and meeting rooms are housed. The outdoor practice fields are also situated within walking distance of the recently-constructed Palmeiro Center, which also features a 100-yard turf practice area during times of inclement weather. Two of the three MSU football practice fields are natural turf, and the third is made of Sprinturf, installed in 2002. Sprinturf is a long-bladed, synthetic turf, woven into a crushed rubber base. |
