What is the Bulldog Club?
The Bulldog Club, chartered in 1974, is a non-profit organization committed to supporting the athletic program at Mississippi State University, primarily by providing scholarships for student-athletes and facilities necessary for the program.

Athletics joins academics at Mississippi State to enhance the image of our university. Both go hand-in-hand to promote excellence. The athletic program needs your support as it strives to build the type of program which is first class in every respect. This is where you can have a very positive impact. In order to attract quality student-athletes, and to provide facilities necessary for them to successfully compete in the Southeastern Conference, your financial support is needed through membership in the Bulldog Club.

How is the money used?
Contributions are used to provide scholarship support for student-athletes, both men and women, in each of the 16 intercollegiate sports in which MSU participates.

Why are contributions needed?
Mississippi State University's athletic program has four primary sources of income:
• Ticket Sales
• Radio, Television, Bowl Receipts through the Southeastern Conference
• Student Athletic Activity Fee
• The Bulldog Club

Additional Giving Opportunities to Benefit Bulldog Athletics

Athletic Facilities Initiative

Gifts in support of Mississippi State Athletics' current and future athletic facility needs can be made through the Bulldog Club for the "Today, Tomorrow, Forever athletic facilities initiative.  Gifts are tax deductible and members will receive priority points credit equal to that provided for annual gifts to the Bulldog Club for their commitment (.012 per dollar).  Athletic facilities gifts cannot be made in lieu of priority seating requirements.

Pledges may be paid over a five year period.  Commitments of $25,000 or more may be eligible for naming opportunities.

Planned Giving Opportunities

There are a variety of planned giving opportunities available that allow loyal Bulldogs to make investments in the future of Mississippi State student-athletes.  Some of these gifts can provide you with current income.  Often planned gifts qualify you for a tax deduction and preferential capital gains tax treatment.  In an effort to recognize those members who make an irrevocable deferred gift that will benefit the Bulldog Club in the future, priority points will be added to a member's cumulative contributions provided their gift meets certain objectives.

For a sample of planned giving opportunities to MSU, please visit the Planned Giving section of the MSU Foundation's Planned Giving website.

Gifts of Real Estate

Gifts of real estate may be made to the Bulldog Club through the Bulldog Properties & Bulldog Forest program at the Mississippi State University Foundation.  Gifts of real estate will count toward priority points once the gift is received by the Bulldog Club.

For a sample of real estate gifts to MSU, please visit the Real Estate Giving section of the MSU Foundation website.

Mississippi State University Foundation

The Bulldog Club and the MSU Foundation work together to credit gifts made through either organization for the appropriate designation.  If you are already making a gift through the MSU Foundation and would like to add/include Bulldog Athletics as a beneficiary or if you are making a gift to Bulldog Athletics and would like to discuss including a gift to another college, program or service at MSU, please contact Michelle McBride at 662-325-6312 in the Bulldog Club Office.

For additional information on these giving opportunities, please contact the Bulldog Club Office at 662-325-3074.
