On two separate occasions over the past 10 days, Mississippi State’s Athletic Ticket Office has lost access to its hosted ticketing and donor management system that is contracted through NeuLion, Inc. As a result, Mississippi State has been unable to sell tickets, process donations, or access ticketing information for all or parts of 5 days in the past two weeks. NeuLion’s network experienced a database and storage failure and most recently has been inaccessible since approximately 3:30 Wednesday afternoon. While we understand there was no intrusion or any other external activity that affected data, this has resulted in the temporary suspension of ticket sales.
Mississippi State Athletics has been in constant contact with NeuLion engineers as they work to restore service. We apologize to Bulldog fans who have been inconvenienced by this service interruption and will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates via HailState.com and various social media platforms.
Neulion software is responsible for Ticketing, Bulldog Club Management, Web Site Development, Online Registration, HailStatePLUS, MSU Athletics Mobile Apps, Athletics Email Marketing, and Live Statistics. This hardware failure has affected NeuLion College clients across multiple platforms. Various components of the system have been restored, and Mississippi State will continue to communicate as remaining components are returned to service.
There is a limited quantity of MSU student season season tickets available for students who have not been able to purchase their season ticket due to this service disruption. These tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis at the Bryan Building Athletic Ticket Office beginning at 8:30 a.m. Friday, August 29. In order to sell tickets without having access to the ticketing system, ticket office representatives will be recording students’ NetID’s and names and providing a paper ticket for Saturday’s game against Southern Miss. Next week, those students will have their A/R accounts charged $50 for the season ticket. No other forms of payment will be accepted.
Students who have already purchased a season ticket can still be admitted into the game by presenting their valid MSU ID at the student gates at Davis Wade Stadium Saturday.
We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate the patience all Bulldog fans have shown as we work through this issue with our software provider.
