The Mullen family and the players went room-to-room signing autographs, passing out 2014 season posters and visiting with the patients. Several players also joined the kids in the game room and played board games.
“Coming here is always pretty special,” said Mullen. “Just by showing up we have the opportunity to put smiles on children and family faces that are going through the toughest times of life. We want to give back and make sure we are here for them."
The Mullen Family 36 Foundation has continually supported the hospital, making routine visits and donations throughout the year. Batson Children’s Hospital is the only medical facility in the state of Mississippi devoted exclusively to the care and treatment of sick and injured children and adolescents. The hospital averages 9,000 admissions a year and nearly 80,000 children are treated in its clinics and emergency room annually.
