STARKVILLE, Miss. – Senior Chad Ramey added another accolade to his impressive Mississippi State golf résumé, earning PING All-Southeast Region Team honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America.

The Fulton, Miss., native claimed the honor for the second-straight year after leading the Bulldogs to a second-consecutive NCAA Regional appearance.

“It’s just another accolade for one of the top players to ever wear Mississippi State maroon,” MSU coach Clay Homan said. “Chad closed our four stellar years in our program, and we will miss him greatly.”

Ramey recorded a career-low 71.65 scoring average this season. The mark passed his 2012-13 tally for the second lowest in program history.

The first Mississippi State golfer to earn three All-SEC accolades and two first-team nods, Ramey capped his heralded career MSU’s scoring average leader with a 72.25.

Ramey recorded seven Top 25 finishes his senior campaign, including three Top 5 cards and five Top 10 showings.

Ramey is one of 20 Southeastern Conference golfers named to the team. The GCAA honored 157 players across six regions – Northeast, East, Southeast, Midwest, Central and West – this season.
