Top-25 In-State Rivalry Series Set For Super Bulldog Weekend

Tens of thousands of fans are expected to pack Dudy Noble Field this weekend for #SBW2014

STARKVILLE, Miss. – No. 13 Mississippi State baseball (21-13, 6-6 SEC) will welcome in-state SEC West rival Ole Miss (27-8, 7-5) to town starting Friday for a historic Super Bulldog Weekend. First pitch in the series is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday at Dudy Noble Field, followed by a 3 p.m. televised start time Saturday. The rivalry series wraps up Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

Saturday’s game will be broadcast live on FSN and ESPN3. The Friday and Sunday games will be streamed live at HailStateTV.com.

Family Fun Zone

In anticipation of enormous crowds for Super Bulldog Weekend, a “Family Fun Zone” will be set up behind the third base bleachers Friday and Saturday. A giant video board will show the baseball game as children can enjoy inflatable jump houses and many more activities. Fans may bring lawn chairs (no tents) and enjoy the game on the big screen.

Tickets are still available and can be purchased at HailState.com/tickets.

Promotions

FRIDAY – The first 500 fans will receive free Adidas EQT t-shirts. Claim tickets will be given out at the home plate entrance area, with fans redeeming those tickets for t-shirts at the third base elevator. Adidas will also throw out 200 shirts to fans immediately following the ceremonial first pitch. Friday is also Greek Life Night, where Greek members can tailgate at a tent near Sanderson Center.

SATURDAY – The first 1,000 fans will receive Dudy Noble Field commemorative posters.

SUNDAY – “Kids’ Day at the Park” features free ice cream, free MSU face decals and kids running the bases postgame.

Maroon Memory Fan Experiences

Fans can create lifetime memories by using Maroon Memories. Fans can get their photo on the field, get a private tour of the Hall of Champions, lead the seventh-inning stretch, take the field with the team for the national anthem or even announce batters for half an inning.

New Code Cream Uniform

Mississippi State will debut a new uniform Saturday, designed to have a vintage look utilizing modern adidas technology. The Code cream uniform features true maroon tackle twill and piping, a Climalite engineered body to keep the Bulldogs cool and dry in any condition and Formotion Raglan Seaming to increase range of motion for players at every position. Saturday will also showcase adidas’ lightweight adizero cleats and EQT bats.
