STARKVILLE, Miss. – The first 10,000 fans in attendance at the Mississippi State Maroon-White Spring Football Game on Saturday will receive a free limited edition Scott Field poster celebrating the 100-year history of the venue from 1914-2014.

The poster will be available at the southeast and southwest entrances of Davis Wade Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for noon and gates will open at 10 a.m. Admission is free.

The special poster features classic images of Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field dating back to 1923, the 2014 Bulldog football schedule and the new Scott Field centennial celebration logo, which will be used throughout the season.

Scott Field first opened in 1914 and the Bulldogs have produced a 237-133-13 record at home since that season. After adding 10,500 seats and 50 luxury skyboxes in 2001, the stadium was officially named Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field.

As part of the centennial celebration, capacity will grow to over 61,000 with a new expansion in the north end zone that is expected to make Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field the largest on campus football stadium in the state of Mississippi.

The project includes an additional 8,815 seats with 1,739 new premium seats and 22 suites. MSU takes a streak of 30 consecutive home sellouts into the season-opener against Southern Miss on Aug. 30.

The Maroon-White Spring Game is once again part of Super Bulldog Weekend on the MSU campus. The Diamond Dogs host rival Ole Miss in a three-game series, while softball welcomes fourth-ranked Alabama for three contests.
