Last weekend, Erica Bougard and Rochelle Farquharson led the Bulldogs to an eighth-place finish at the 2014 Southeastern Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships as the duo captured a pair of individual SEC titles in College Station.

Recently crowned the SEC Indoor pentathlon champion, Bougard recorded the ninth-best score in collegiate history (4,458). Her score also improved the MSU record (previously 4,399) set by the Byhalia, Miss., native during her championship performance at last year’s NCAA Indoors.

Farquharson posted a personal-best 21-00.75 in the long jump to capture the conference title. Her leap landed her a spot in third on the MSU all-time indoor list.

With their wins, both women became the first MSU athletes to win SEC Indoor titles in their respective events.
