STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State softball’s home contest Tuesday against UAB has been moved up to a 5 p.m. start due to expected cold temperatures in the area.

The Bulldogs are off to the best 20-game start in program history at 19-1. The 2006 group owned the previous best mark by opening the campaign at 18-2.

MSU owns a 14-3 advantage in the all-time series with nearby UAB. The teams have split the last four meetings, but Mississippi State had won the previous 10 games and own a 9-2 record in Starkville against the Blazers.
