STARKVILLE, Miss. – Following two close home setbacks in the last week, Mississippi State hits the road for a pair of games, starting with a showdown at Missouri on Saturday.
Tip at Mizzou Arena is set for 12:47 p.m. CT, with Joe Davis and Kyle Macy handling the broadcast for SEC TV.
The Bulldogs (13-15, 3-12) travel to Columbia looking to snap a 10-game losing streak, while the Tigers (19-9. 7-8) are looking to bounce back from losses to Alabama and Georgia.
Mississippi State is also looking to collect its first win at Missouri, having lost the previous two encounters. However, this is the first time the two are meeting as SEC foes in Columbia.
Last year, the Tigers’ first in the SEC, Missouri claimed a 78-36 win at Humphrey Coliseum, the largest setback at home for the Bulldogs. In that outing, Trivante Bloodman paced MSU with 13 points and was the only player in double-digits.
Roquez Johnson, a junior forward who has started the last two games, is averaging 9.7 points after scoring in double digits the last four games.
Tops in scoring for the Tigers is junior guard Jabari Brown at 20.1, a total that is second in the SEC.
After Saturday, Mississippi State travels to Georgia on Wednesday for its final road outing of the season.
