COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Mississippi State volleyball standouts Alex Warren and Gabby Litwin will be participating in the three-day open tryouts for the United States Women’s National Volleyball Team, Feb. 21-23, at the U.S. Olympic Training Center.

A record 247 players are participating and the event will be streamed live here starting Friday. Athletes with remaining collegiate eligibility will be evaluated for the U.S. Women’s National Volleyball Team as well as the U.S. Collegiate National Teams program.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for Alex and Gabby,” said head coach Jenny Hazelwood. “They have worked hard to get where they are today and are definitely ready to take that next step in training with some of the best players in the country. We are thrilled to have these two representing Mississippi State University and our volleyball program."

Warren, a sophomore middle blocker from San Antonio, Texas, led the squad in 2013 with 89 total blocks, including 50 in conference matches. Litwin, a defensive specialist, notched 188 digs as a freshman.
