STARKVILLE, Miss. – Riding the momentum of a three-game winning streak and a Liberty Bowl victory to close the 2013 season, Mississippi State football unveiled its plans for National Signing Day set for Wednesday, Feb. 5 with fan events in Starkville, Jackson, Tupelo and Gulfport.
Fans can tune into “Signing Day Live,” a two-hour webcast sponsored by Ford, Mississippi Farm Bureau and Regions Bank on HailStateTV from 8-10 a.m. CT Wednesday. Hosted by Bart Gregory, Matt Wyatt and John Correro from the Leo Seal Jr. Football Complex, the online show will feature highlights of Bulldog signees and live interviews with head coach Dan Mullen and assistant coaches. The show will also highlight key aspects of the Bulldog program and feature interviews with current players.
Fans can watch the live HD Signing Day Show on HailStateTV and on tablets and smart phones via the official Mississippi State Bulldog premium apps. The first fan event on National Signing Day will be at 3 p.m. from the Leo Seal Jr. Football Complex. Coach Mullen will address fans and media regarding the 2014 signing class. Admission is free. The event will be streamed live on HailStateTV. Coach Mullen will travel to Jackson for an event at The South Warehouse on East Silas Brown Street. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the program begins at 5:45 p.m. Admission is free, and hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available.
Mullen will then head to Gulfport for an event at Lookout Steakhouse. Admission is $10, and hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available. Doors open at 7 p.m. Mullen will discuss the 2014 signing class at both events.
For fans in Tupelo, the Lee County Chapter of the MSU Alumni Association will host a National Signing Day celebration from 4-7 p.m. at Harvey’s. Assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Tony Hughes will address the crowd. Tickets are $20 for adults and includes food and two raffle tickets. Children 12 and under are admitted for $5 and that includes food and one raffle ticket.
