Spots Still Remain For January Baseball Camps
December 21, 2013
The 2014 camps open with a pair of youth sessions for those in grades 1-8: an all-skills camp Jan. 4 and a Jan. 5 hitting camp. Sessions three and four are designed for high school athletes in grades 9-12: a Jan. 19 hitting camp for pitchers, catchers and infielders, followed by a Jan. 20 hitting camp.
Concluding the 2014 Winter Baseball Camps is the always-popular Father & Son Camp for children in grades 1-6. Participants at the Jan. 25-26 overnight camp literally "camp-in" at the spacious Palmeiro Center, the climate-controlled indoor training center for the 2013 national finalists.
The camps are conducted at Palmeiro as well as Dudy Noble Field, which earlier this year was ranked the No. 1 college baseball stadium in the country by StadiumJourney.com. Instruction will be provided by 2013 ABCA South Region Coach of the Year John Cohen and members of his coaching staff.
Camp check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Palmeiro Center for each daily session of the high school and youth camps and at 4 p.m. for the Father-Son Camp. Special tuition rates apply for those attending both daily sessions of the High School or the Youth camps as well as for the Father-Son Camp.
Signed parent's and physician's release statements are required.
