Kickoff is set for 6:31 p.m. CT on ESPN. Reece Davis, Jesse Palmer, and David Pollack will provide play-by-play analysis for ESPN, while Maria Taylor will serve as the sideline reporter. Jim Ellis, Matt Wyatt, and John Correro will have the game’s call on the Mississippi State Radio Network.

MSU fans are encouraged to attend the Dawg Walk at approximately 4:15 p.m. The C Spire Wireless Fan Zone opens at 3:30 p.m. on the West Lawn across from The Junction.

MSU (5-6, 2-5 SEC) looks to become bowl eligible with a much-needed win against the visitors from Oxford. The Bulldogs claimed a 24-17 overtime victory at Arkansas in their last outing.

On the first play of the extra period, freshman quarterback Damian Williams rushed up the middle for a 25-yard touchdown to give his team the lead, and a Taveze Calhoun interception sealed Mississippi State’s first-ever win in the state of Arkansas. Calhoun has grabbed the first three picks of his career in the last two games. Linebacker Benardrick McKinney leads the team with 61 tackles.

Senior offensive guard Gabe Jackson was awarded the inaugural Kent Hull Trophy as the state of Mississippi’s best offensive lineman this week. Jackson will earn his 51st consecutive start on Thursday, which will tie for the best mark in the nation. Jackson has also been named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week on three occasions this season.

The Rebels (7-4, 3-4 SEC) enter the contest coming off a 24-10 loss against Missouri last weekend. Ole Miss has not played a road game since Oct. 5th.

Quarterback Bo Wallace paces Coach Hugh Freeze’s squad with 2,908 passing yards and 17 touchdowns. The receiving duo of Donte Moncrief and Laquon Treadwell has combined for over 1,300 receiving yards on the season.

Under Dan Mullen, Mississippi State has won three of the last four meetings in the series, but UM claimed last season's battle in Oxford. The Bulldogs have not lost the rivalry contest in Starkville since 2003, having won four-straight Egg Bowls at Davis Wade Stadium.

Thursday night will mark the 99th uninterrupted year the two teams have played, which ranks sixth nationally and first in the SEC.
