STARKVILLE, Miss. – Elisabeth Sullivan capped a brilliant career by earning a pair of All-SEC accolades on Monday.
The senior garnered second team All-SEC honors from the league coaches for the second-straight season, and she was tabbed to the second team of College Sports Madness’ all-conference squad.
“We are very proud of Elisabeth for these honors,” MSU coach Aaron Gordon said. “She has proven to be one of the SEC’s top forwards for the second-straight year, and it is an honor that the coaches in the league recognize how outstanding a player she is.”
After becoming the first Bulldog to earn all-conference honors since 2003 last season, the Memphis native became the first MSU player to receive multiple all-league honors since Meredith Riekert was tabbed to the second team in 1995 and 1997.
Sullivan practically re-wrote the Mississippi State record book, shattering the career top marks for goals and points with 39 and 92, respectively.
She followed a banner junior season with an even better senior campaign, setting a single-season goals record when she recorded her 16th of the year with 1:30 left in her final career match.
In her MSU swan song, Sullivan claimed the third-most points in school history with 34. Half of that tally came in SEC play where she netted eight goals and assisted another for 17 points.A three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll selection, Sullivan also set new MSU standards with eight multiple-goal games and eight game-winning assists.
