STARKVILLE, Miss. – With the start of games just a little more than two weeks away, both the Mississippi State men’s and women’s basketball teams will have inter-squad scrimmages on Wednesday free to the public.
Following the tent setup in the Junction for Thursday’s football game against Kentucky, fans and students can head to Humphrey Coliseum for the men’s 5:30 p.m. CT scrimmage, which will last just a little more than an hour.
Students will also be treated to free pizza, while learning about some of the new pregame experiences that will be unveiled at the first home game.
Then following the men’s scrimmage, the women will take the court.
The Bulldogs, under the direction of second-year coach Rick Ray, officially open the season on Nov. 8 against Prairie View A&M after battling Auburn-Montgomery in exhibition play on Nov. 3.
The women, with Vic Schaefer at the helm, have an exhibition game against Shorter on Nov. 4 before traveling to Houston to open the year on Nov. 8.
