Mississippi State senior Elisabeth Sullivan and Florida freshman Savannah Jordan have been two of the most potent attackers in the league and nation this season, tying for second in the SEC and eighth nationally with 12 goals each.
For Sullivan, that tally is tied with her 2012 total for the second-most in school history, three back of the single-season school record.
The Memphis native will be aiming to help her team rebound from Sunday’s 1-0 setback at Arkansas and continue a recent string of success for the Bulldogs (3-9, 0-5 SEC) against the Gators at the MSU Soccer Field.
In 2011, Sullivan scored 37 seconds in and the MSU defense made it stand against an 11th-ranked Gators squad to claim a 1-0 victory.
Two years earlier, Kat Walsh scored and UF converted a late penalty kick as the teams played to a 1-1 tie.
The Gators knocked off Auburn 3-0 Sunday after suffering back-to-back defeats to Missouri and South Carolina. In addition to Facebook, fans can follow Bulldog soccer on Twitter (@HailStateSOC), and Instagram (HailStateSOC).
