STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State's softball game against Louisiana, scheduled for Wednesday, March 20 at 6 p.m., has been canceled. The Maroon and White will instead play an intersquad scrimmage Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the MSU Softball Stadium on campus.

The red-hot Bulldogs (20-6) have won 14 of their last 16 games, including a 13-game winning streak against non-conference opponents. Twelve of the 13 victories have come away from the MSU Softball Stadium in Starkville, the longest consecutive-game winning streak on the road in school history.

Starkville's Team is back in action this weekend as it travels to Lexington for its SEC road opener at No. 21 Kentucky. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. ET Friday, with Saturday's and Sunday's games beginning at 1 p.m. ET. Live audio streaming of the games will be available online to HailStateTV subscribers (www.HailState.com/hstvlive), with Sunday's game airing live on Fox Sports South and ESPN3.com.
