STARKVILLE, Miss. - In the final match of a four-match homestand, the No. 13 Mississippi State men's tennis squad (12-5, 2-3 SEC) will host the No. 10 Kentucky Wildcats (15-4, 3-1 SEC) at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre Sunday. Match is slated to start at 1 p.m. CT on the MSU campus.

The Bulldogs will look to bounce back after dropping a heartbreaking 4-3 decision to the 23rd-ranked Vanderbilt Commodores Friday afternoon.

The Maroon and White will bring a pair of ranked singles players and one ranked doubles squad into Sunday's SEC battle. Romain Bogaerts, ranked 18th in the nation, comes in with an 11-4 record and 2-2 in conference play, while No. 59 Malte Stropp enters with 12 wins, most recently a 6-0, 7-6(5) win against No. 54 Gonzales Austin of Vanderbilt.

Also of note is MSU freshman Jordan Angus, who defeated Vanderbilt's Jeff Offerdahl 6-3, 6-3 Friday for his team-leading 13th win of the spring.

The 14th-ranked State doubles tandem of Angus and Stropp has earned six wins on the season, with four coming against ranked opponents. Of those ranked wins, the most notable is the 9-8(4) victory against Auburn's No. 1 duo of Andreas Mies and Dan Cochrane on March 1.

The 10th-ranked Wildcats enter Sunday after toppling No. 4 Ole Miss Friday in a big 4-1 upset.

Kentucky sports two ranked singles players, with Anthony Rossi at No. 31 and Tom Jomby at No. 32. In doubles, the duo of Jomby and Kevin Lai, ranked 23rd in the nation, comes in as UK's only ranked pair.

Following Sunday's match, State will hit the road as SEC play continues. The Bulldogs will travel to Fayetteville, Ark., Friday, March 22, to battle the No. 46 Arkansas Razorbacks. MSU will wrap up the short two-match road swing in Baton Rouge, La., on Sunday, March 24, facing the No. 68 LSU Tigers.
