STARKVILLE, Miss. - Free t-shirts will be given to the first 1,000 MSU students attending an organizational and sign-up meeting for the student-based Mississippi State baseball support group The Dudes Tuesday at the Palmeiro Center.

Fifth-year MSU head baseball coach John Cohen will address the group at the 6 p.m. meeting and introduce Gray McQueen, the incoming president of the 2013 Dudes.

The organization, established prior to the start of the 2012 season, fosters active support of Mississippi State's Baseball Bulldogs at home games and provides members-only seating opportunities in the reserved seat chair back section of the Dudy Noble Field grandstand. The name of the group is drawn from the namesake of MSU's baseball facility, former Diamond Dog player, head coach and athletics director C.R. "Dudy" Noble.

Mississippi State hosts its "First Pitch/Fan Day" Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Palmeiro Center and opens its 37-game home schedule next weekend (Feb. 15-17) with a four-game series against the University of Portland. A
