STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State athletic department officials announced today plans for a live webcast and a pair of events - in Jackson and Starkville - on the first day of the football signing period Wednesday, February 6.

The National Signing Day festivities begin at 8 a.m. with a live video webcast presented by Ford and Mississippi Farm Bureau Insurance on HailStateTV. Hosted by the broadcast crew of Jim Ellis, Matt Wyatt and Bart Gregory from the Leo Seal Jr. Football Complex, the online show will feature highlights of every new Bulldog, live interviews with head coach Dan Mullen and assistants and video features on different aspects of the Mississippi State football program.

Fans can watch the live HD Signing Day Show with an active HailState TV subscription. Details on HailStateTV can be found by visiting www.hailstatetv.com. Additionally, for three days prior to Signing Day (beginning Monday, February 4), fans can try out HailStateTV with a free 14-day trial package. This special HailState TV package will give fans access to all of the exclusive Signing Day action as well as an opportunity to try out high definition live Diamond Dog baseball coverage through MSU's opening weekend series at Dudy Noble Field against Portland (Feb. 15-17).

The first fan event of the day will take place in the new football complex at 3 p.m. Coach Mullen and assistants will be on hand and the event is open to all Bulldog Club members.

Coach Mullen, Director of Athletics Scott Stricklin and other athletic department officials will then travel to Jackson for an event at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame. The event will begin with a reception at 6 p.m. and the program will start at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free to the public, and hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available.
