STARKVILLE, Miss. - Fans can enjoy a delicious meal and talk HailState Hoops and Mississippi State baseball Tuesday, Jan. 29, as the Bulldog women's basketball team welcomes head baseball coach John Cohen as this month's guest speaker.

The luncheon, which will be held in Mize Pavilion, is open to the public beginning at 11:30 a.m. Cost for each luncheon is $12 at the door, and includes a meal, game highlights and question and answer sessions with coaches and players in addition to Cohen.

"We're excited about hosting our third luncheon Tuesday and having the opportunity for our supporters to hear from our staff and players," MSU head coach Vic Schaefer said. "We are also excited to have Coach Cohen as our special guest this month. He has his team ranked in the Top 5 in the country, so he's done what we are aspiring to do here at Mississippi State in building a program. We appreciate him taking time out of his busy schedule to come and address our crowd."

Cohen will be talking about the upcoming baseball season that kicks off against Portland Feb. 15-17 at Dudy Noble Field, Polk-DeMent Stadium. Cohen's squad received a No. 5 national ranking from Baseball America, the program's highest preseason ranking since the 1989 squad began the year No. 1.

Prior to Tuesday's luncheon, Mississippi State returns to Humphrey Coliseum Sunday afternoon to host in-state rival Ole Miss in a 2 p.m. tip. Following the game, the Bulldogs will hold a courtside autograph session.
