Baker, Scott Represent MSU Volleyball On 2012 Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Two members of Mississippi State's 2012 volleyball team have been named to the 2012 Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll announced Thursday by the Southeastern Conference in Birmingham, Ala.

Earning academic all-conference honors for 2012 are senior Chanelle Baker (Carrollton, Texas) and sophomore Alex Scott (Addison, Ala.). It's the fourth appearance on the SEC's academic honor unit for Baker and the second for Scott. They are among 30 MSU athletes representing State's three fall sports accorded SEC Academic Honor Roll status.

Not including freshman, MSU has had 24 Academic Honor Roll selections in volleyball over the past four years and 129 since the league's first academic all-conference honors for volleyball were announced in 1984. Freshman honorees have been included by the league on a separate academic honor roll since 2004 and are announced at the end of the school year.
