JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - As the Gator Bowl has drawn closer, much has been made of the friendship between Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen and Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald.

As it turns out, there's another connection in this New Year's Day matchup, coming in the form of assistant recruiting coordinator Niel Stopczynski.

He joined MSU this year, and before that? He was at NU with Fitzgerald, who it turns out helped him get the job.

Bob Carskadon from the HailStateBEAT caught up with Stopczynski at practice Saturday to talk about his unique connection, as well to teach us some about the Wildcats and how the Bulldogs match up with them.
