STARKVILLE, Miss. - Following the conclusion of the indoor track and field campaign on March 9, Mississippi State will embark on the 2013 outdoor season at its home opener on March 15.

The Bulldogs will have the comfort of lacing up for the first two meets of the season in Starkville, as the Big 10/SEC Challenge will follow the MSU Invite on March 23. This year's competition will be the third annual showdown between the two conferences.

On March 27, the squads will travel to Austin, Texas for the Texas Relays, before returning to SEC territory on April 6 for the Alabama Invite in Tuscaloosa, followed by the Battle on the Bayou on April 13 in Baton Rouge.

After seeing an abundance of SEC action, the Maroon and White teams will continue their season on April 18 at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif. The Bulldogs will return home briefly for the Jace LaCoste Invite in Starkville on April 20, before heading to Philadelphia, Pa. for the legendary Penn Relays held April 25-27.

The Penn Relays serve as the last regular season meet for MSU. The men's and women's teams will tackle conference foes May 9-12 in Columbia, Mo., at the SEC Championships.

The NCAA First Round, held in Greensboro, N.C., is scheduled for May 23-25 and will be the final chance for success, prior to the NCAA Championships. This year's Championships will be hosted in Eugene, Ore., on June 5-8.
