The Magnolia, Texas, product finished with 54 scoops in two matches last weekend, raising her SEC-leading digs total to 474 for a 5.64 per-set average, 12th-best in the NCAA. McVey is tied for seventh among MSU's all-time single-season digs leaders and stands 37 away from the school-record 511 digs registered by Megan Lukasek in 2007.
McVey set the MSU record with 42 digs against Kennesaw State on opening weekend and notched an SEC-record 50 digs against LSU September 28. With Sunday's 37-dig outing, she now has the top two and three of the top five digs performances in the SEC this fall.
