PENSACOLA, Fla. - Three Mississippi State men's tennis players earned a spot in the main draw at the USTA Pensacola Futures with victories in the final round of qualifying Monday.

MSU's Pedro Dumont, the top seed of the qualifying round, capped off his qualifying run with a straight-set victory against Nicholas Alexander Reyes 6-0, 6-3. State's Romain Bogaerts (No. 7 seed) won in straight sets as well, defeating Jarred Wynan 7-6(2), 6-1.  With their wins, Dumont and Bogaerts did not allow a single opponent in the qualifying round to win a set.

Bulldog freshman Jordan Angus was the third MSU player to earn a spot in main draw play, defeating Mark Oljaca in two sets 7-5, 6-1.

State's Stefan Vinti, the No. 6 seed, provided an intense three-setter Monday against Joe Salisbury, but dropped his match 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(4).

Dumont, Bogaerts and Angus will all compete in main draw play, which begins Tuesday Oct. 30. Thirty-two singles players will compete in main draw play, with five wins needed to win the tournament.
