MSU Women To Host Hoops Scrimmage Saturday

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Before Mississippi State's big football game at Alabama, fans can watch some Bulldog hoops Saturday afternoon as Vic Schaefer's inaugural Mississippi State women's basketball team hosts a Maroon-White scrimmage beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Humphrey Coliseum.

The event is free to fans, with doors opening an hour prior to tip.

Schaefer has been guiding his squad through preseason workouts in anticipation of the team's Nov. 2 exhibition game against Shorter. Tip for that contest is set for 7 p.m.

A week later, the Bulldogs begin the 2012-13 regular season by hosting Houston at 7 p.m.
