STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State seeks to claim the Magnolia Cup Thursday night as it hosts in-state rival Ole Miss on Senior Night at the MSU Soccer Field. Kickoff for the match is set for 7 p.m., and admission is free.

Prior to the opening whistle, MSU will honor the careers of Skylar Rosson, Katy Hoover, Jennifer Grant, Zehra Syed, Lauren Morgan, Jasmine Simmons, Madison McKee and Julie Waddle.

In addition to senior festivities, there will be two pre-game sideline passes given away for the Nov. 17 football game against Arkansas. Local sponsors L.A. Green Boutique, Harmonie Boutique, The Sundial and R. Tabb & Co. will present a fashion show at halftime, and fans can let their dogs "take the field" following the match.

The Bulldogs wrap the 2012 slate looking to capture the Magnolia Cup on the home field for the second-straight time. Head coach Neil Macdonald's squad won the cup with a 2-1 home win in 2010. The Rebels regained possession by a 2-0 score in Oxford last season.

Mississippi State enters Thursday's contest 8-10-1 overall and 1-10-1 in SEC play and looking to rebound from a pair of tough home setbacks to Georgia and Arkansas last weekend.

Junior Elisabeth Sullivan netted the Bulldogs' goal in a 2-1 loss to Arkansas. The strike was the 10th of the season for the Memphis native, making her just the fourth Bulldog in school history to hit double-digit goals in a season.

Sullivan netted the 21st goal of her career, putting her one back of tying the school record shared by Meredith Riekert and Amy Van Zandt.

Rosson had to miss both of last weekend's matches, but she returns in goal Thursday night looking to cap a splendid career that has seen her set school records for solo shutouts and consecutive minutes without allowing a goal.

The Edmond, Okla., native has turned back 78 shots this season and 327 for her career, the second-most in program history.

Thursday's contest features three of the SEC's top scorers. Sullivan's 10 goals are tied for third-most in the SEC, while Ole Miss (12-7-0, 5-7-0 SEC) owns the league's top-two scorers in Mandy McCalla and Rafaelle Souza 13 and 11 goals, respectively.

Kelly McCormick has seen the majority of the minutes in goal this season. She has made 75 saves while surrendering 22 goals.
