VB Bulldogs Host Hogs On Dig Pink Sunday At Humphrey Coliseum
The match has been designated as a "Dig Pink" match, and fans are encouraged to wear pink for the promotion designed to raise awareness of cancer and cancer research. The first 250 fans will receive pink "HailState" sun glasses Sunday. Members of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority will be distributing pink ribbons and printed material related to the national breast cancer awareness campaign.
State (4-15, 0-10 SEC) dropped a three-setter to South Carolina (25-9, 25-15, 25-9) Friday night at the coliseum while Arkansas (15-6, 6-4 SEC) blanked Kentucky (25-23, 25-23, 25-20) in Lexington.
Sophomore middle Lainey Wyman paced State with eight kills and the block in Friday's match against the Gamecocks. Senior outside hitter Jasmine Norton had 16 kills in the Razorbacks' win at Kentucky.
Next weekend the Bulldogs travel to Gainesville, Fla., for a Friday night match at No. 11 Florida and venture on to Baton Rouge to take on defending SEC West champion LSU in a Sunday matinee match.
