Homecoming Weekend Fall Ball Scrimmages At Dudy Noble Field
STARKVILLE, Miss. - A trio of fall baseball scrimmages --- all open to the public --- are scheduled this weekend at Dudy Noble Field in conjunction with Mississippi State University's Homecoming 2012 activities and the Diamond Dogs' ongoing fall baseball practice.
Seven-inning scrimmages are set for 4:15 p.m. Friday and 11:30 a.m. Saturday with a six-inning contest set for 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Two right-handers, senior Kendall Graveman (Alexander City, Ala.) and junior Evan Mitchell (Marietta, Ga.), are tabbed for game-opening mound duty Friday, with sophomore righty Will Cox (Amory, Miss.) and lefty Jacob Lindgren (Bay St. Louis, Miss.) matched in Saturday's game.
The defending SEC Tournament Champions are scheduled to conclude their fall team practices Oct. 30-Nov. 4 at Dudy Noble Field with the 2012 Maroon-White World Series. Game times for the series, open to the public, have not been set.
