STARKVILLE, Miss. - An expanded free video streaming of Mississippi State University's Homecoming Weekend volleyball matches in Humphrey Coliseum will be available to fans online this weekend.
Mississippi State hosts South Carolina in interdivisional SEC volleyball competition Friday at 7 p.m. (CT) and then closes out the weekend slate Sunday with a 1:30 p.m. (CT) against SEC West foe Arkansas. The matches, open to all fans with no charge for admission, were shifted from the Newell-Grissom Building to Humphrey Coliseum to accommodate special homecoming weekend scheduling on campus.
In conjunction with this weekend's matches being played at Humphrey Coliseum, a special video streaming offering of the contests will be available online on HailStateTV (www.HailState.com/hstvlive). The stream will include a multi-camera production with Hunter Richardson on the play-by-play call of the two matches.
The Bulldogs last played a match in Humphrey Coliseum last October, shutting out No. 25 Kentucky for State's first win against a ranked opponent. The match drew an MSU and state collegiate attendance record 4,525 fans to Humphrey Coliseum.
MSU's 2012 Homecoming Court will be introduced at Friday's match, with formal coronation ceremonies set for halftime of Saturday's nationally-televised (ESPN2) Mississippi State-Middle Tennessee State football game. Kickoff at Davis Wade Stadium is set for 6 p.m.
