MSU Announces Dates For Basketball Walk-On Tryouts

STARKVILLE, Miss. - First-year Mississippi State basketball coach Rick Ray has announced there will be tryouts for full-time students interested in possibly becoming a walk-on.

A mandatory meeting will be held on Aug. 29 at 5 p.m. on the floor of Humphrey Coliseum, with the actual tryout date slated for 6 a.m. on Sept. 4 at the Mize Pavilion.

At the Aug. 29 meeting, prospects will be instructed on the requirements that will have to be completed before anyone is allowed to tryout (eligibility, proof of insurance, physical, etc).
