Vann Stuedeman To Host Pitching Clinics
STARKVILLE, Miss. - Head coach Vann Stuedeman will host four pitching clinics this fall starting on Saturday, Aug. 18, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Each clinic will be split up between two sessions, with elementary and middle school attendees pitching in session one and high school pitchers working in session two.
Along with Aug. 18, the other dates for the clinics are Sunday, Sept. 9 (1-5:30 p.m.), Sunday, Oct. 28 (1-5:30 p.m.) and Sunday, Nov. 4 (1-5:30 p.m.) The clinic will be held at the MSU Indoor Softball Complex just behind the MSU Softball Stadium on the north side of campus. Registration for each $50 session is currently taking place online at HailState.com. Check-in takes placed 30 minutes prior to the start of each session.
Specializing in specific fundamental skill development as determined by the skill level of each participant, the clinic will focus on grip, wrist snap, arm circle, body alignment, body position and foot placement. A significant amount of time will be spent to ensure that all fundamental mechanics are sound, before progressing to intermediate and advanced pitching concepts and techniques based on individual readiness. Clinic time is limited to two hours, but additional instruction for students can be arranged on an individual basis.
