Bulldogs To Play Intrasquad Scrimmage In Tupelo August 11

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State opens the 2012 season Aug. 17, but fans in Tupelo have the opportunity to get a first look at the squad as it plays an intrasquad scrimmage at Ballard Park Aug. 11.

The match will kick off at 1 p.m., and head coach Neil Macdonald and his team will conduct a free clinic beginning at 2:30 p.m.

"We are thrilled to be going back to Tupelo," Macdonald said. "Our players are excited about having the opportunity to give back to a community that embraces soccer and Mississippi State the way Tupelo and the surrounding area do."

In addition to the action on the pitch and the free clinic, attendees will have the opportunity to win some great door prizes.

Currently in the midst of preseason training camp, Mississippi State hosts Southeastern Louisiana at 7 p.m. Aug. 17 to begin the 2012 season.
