STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State will play soccer on television three times, including the program's first appearance on ESPNU, this season as part of the SEC television schedule that was announced by the league office.

The Bulldogs' Oct. 21 match against Arkansas will be televised on the network to over 73 million households beginning at 3 p.m. CT.

"We are excited to be playing on television three times, especially twice at home. It's a great opportunity to promote our program against top-quality competition," head coach Neil Macdonald said. "It will be a fantastic experience for our team, and we need our stands full with our great fans."

The ESPNU date against Arkansas is the second televised contest at the MSU Soccer Field this season. The Dawgs' Sept. 30 match against SEC newcomer Texas A&M will be shown on Cox Sports Television at 2 p.m. CT.

State's third appearance on the tube comes Oct. 14 when Mississippi State travels to Florida for a 1 p.m. CT kickoff on Comcast Sports South.

Currently in the midst of preseason training camp, MSU hosts Southeastern Louisiana at 7 p.m. Aug. 17 to begin the 2012 slate.

State's ESPNU match will be streamed on WatchESPN. The other two contests will also be shown on ESPN3.com.
