STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State senior tight end Marcus Green has been granted an additional year of eligibility, the school announced Thursday.

The Scooba, Miss., native and Kemper County High School alum has played in 28 games, earning 15 starts. He's recorded 42 career receptions for 580 yards and four touchdowns.

Green, who redshirted in 2007, played in only two games in each of the 2008 and 2010 seasons due to injuries. He joins Malcolm Johnson, Brandon Hill, Rufus Warren and Gus Walley as tight ends on the 2012 roster.
