Varsity Letters Awarded To 29 Diamond Dogs
This year's letterman's list is led by senior co-captains Brent Brownlee of Oxford, Miss., and Caleb Reed of Cleveland, Miss., both recipients of their fourth varsity letters. Fifteen players earned their initial letters, including 12 freshmen. State also awarded letters to seven student managers and a student trainer.
Coach John Cohen's fourth MSU baseball edition concluded the 2012 campaign with a 40-24 record and a No. 22 national ranking (Baseball America, USA Today/ESPN Coaches) after claiming the program's seventh Southeastern Conference Tournament championship and State's 32nd advancement to NCAA postseason competition.
